Lazy Layerings-Style Diaries-Jaipur Literature Festival

Photographs by Abhimanyu Singh Rathore

Winters are about to go and what I will miss the most are the lazy & cozy layerings. Think of  those warm knitted stoles, socks, jackets, sweaters, etc ,yes am already missing it. So let's have a look at those lazy moments from this year's Jaipur Literature Festival 2015. An unconscious layering with an intention to just save ourselves from the cold winters creates unique ideas for styling & yes I need not to say street style always inspire me in many ways.

Uniforms-style diaries-Jaipur Literature Festival 2015

I used to consider uniforms as the most boring ensemble but soon I realised there is something interesting about uniforms.Remember the old school days when it was mandatory to wear same kind of clothes(uniforms) as the other students, but now if I go back and think I realise uniforms symbolizes equality whether you are rich or the poor , you all are at the same level, things get really different when we grow up and create our own uniform which expresses our personality as an individual and also now we are an individual not a part of group or community.
Uniforms have always inspired fashion whether the utilitarian way in the world war days or the beautiful details or trims which defines and differentiates an organisation. So here is a small photo documentation on uniforms I captured at Jaipur Lit Fest 2015.

Best of Street fashion-Jaipur Literature Festival 2015

Photographs by Abhimanyu Singh Rathore

Beautiful layering done by the lady(on left) and I love the safety pin detail on the coat.
This one truely loves indian prints, love the bohemian spirit of the look.
I can't get enough of this pictures such a brilliant use of colors, textures and print together. And ofcourse the hair colors makes the entire look so funky and stand out. The look reminds me of Katy Perry definitely.
I love sequins and yes why not , carry them on a day time & look equally glamorous.

I like the placement of round peepers on a Rajasthani leheriya saree covering the head.

Bags-Street Style-Jaipur Literature Festival 2015

Photographs by Abhimanyu Singh Rathore

Whether colorful, minimal, traditional or just utilitarian, I was so fascinated to see lot of bags this year making style statement on the streets of Jaipur at the Literature Festival 2015, Diggi Palce. Yes I agree bags do make statement, it has vital role in completing a look and has power equally as clothes to speak of about an individual identity. Remember Character of Sonam Kapoor as Mili Chakraborty in disney movie 'Khoobsoorat' who used to carry a lot of kitschy bagpacks which not only completed her day to day look but also defined the quirkiness of the character. So here is a small photo documentation on bags I captured at Literature Festival.

A beautiful mixture of stripes and checks.

Though these photocollages bags are very common these days but i love the popular images collages on bags and I never get bore seeing it.
Love the white texture/studs on a white bag.
Create your own bag, try some DIY ideas like this one did.

How about Popular Bollywood Dialogues on a bag?

Love the crochet texture on this leather bag.

My post wouldn't be complete without this picture, the bag which was seen almost with every delegate, the JLF bags which beautifully defines how diverse our country is in terms of languages and scripts.
